Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 18, 2026

Homebound is developed by Grayforge Labs. This page explains what the app does and doesn't do with your information. The short version is that the game itself does not collect personal information. The longer version is below.

Information we do not collect

Homebound does not ask you to sign up, does not ask for your email address, and does not collect your name, location, contacts, photos, or any other personal information.

Information stored on your device

The game saves your progress — level completion, stars, streaks, and settings — on your device. This data does not leave your device unless you have iCloud backups enabled through iOS, in which case Apple may include it in your device backup.

Game Center

Homebound uses Apple's Game Center for leaderboards and achievements. When you sign in to Game Center on your device, Apple handles your identity. Your score submissions and achievement progress are sent to Apple's Game Center service. We do not receive your Apple ID or personal details — only the aggregate leaderboard and achievement data that Apple exposes to developers. Apple's handling of this data is covered by the Apple Privacy Policy.

In-app purchases

Homebound offers a one-time non-consumable purchase to remove ads. Purchases are processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We receive no payment details — just a receipt that confirms whether the purchase has been made on your Apple ID.

Advertising

Unless you have purchased the Remove Ads upgrade, Homebound shows ads provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use a device identifier (Apple's IDFA, only when you have given App Tracking Transparency permission) and other technical data to serve and measure ads.

You can control tracking at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking on your device. If tracking permission is not granted, AdMob serves non-personalized ads. Google's handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the AdMob documentation.

Analytics

Homebound uses Google Firebase Analytics to understand how the game is played in aggregate — for example, which levels are reached, how long sessions last, and which features are used. This helps us fix bugs and prioritise improvements. Firebase may collect a device-generated identifier and technical information such as device model, iOS version, and general region. We do not collect your name, email, precise location, or contacts, and we do not link this data to your identity.

Google's handling of this data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy and the Firebase Privacy and Security documentation.

If you have enabled Share with App Developers in iOS settings, Apple may additionally share aggregate, anonymized diagnostic and usage data with us through App Store Connect. You can turn this off at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.

Children

Homebound is rated 4+ and is suitable for all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. The app itself does not collect personal information from any user.

Changes to this policy

If the game changes in a way that affects privacy, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. Material changes will also be mentioned in the release notes for that update.
